Due to Hurricane Sandy aka Frankenstorm, the NYC Black Father meetup at Interactive One has been postponed for this evening. A new date will be announced soon.

The Black Fatherhood Challenge NYC meetup invites black fathers to organize in person to share their Black Fatherhood Challenge/Fatherhood journey highs and stumbling moments, harvest the light bulbs, clarify strategic priorities, spark powerful action commitments, and boost each other's collective spirits.

The event will still be hosted at the offices ofInteractive One
a division of Radio One Inc. and the nations #1 African-American digital platform. A segment of the meetup will be featured in an upcoming piece on Newsone.com.


Black Arts Movement legendary poet/author, Marvin X was scheduled to attend the meetup and read from his new book, "The Wisdom of Plato Negro"
. He will continue his east coast tour at the following venues:

Nov. 2, Friday, Black Power to Hip Hop Town Hall Meeting at Howard University
Nov. 3, Sat., Tribute to the Ancestors reading at Black Power to Hip Hop
