Al Freeman, Jr. Long Live the Black Arts Movement
Among other parts, Al Freeman performed in Amiri Baraka's Dutchman and portrayed the Honorable Elijah Muhammad in Spike Lee's Malcolm X. He taught in the drama department at Howard University.
