Revolution on the Rocks Book Tour hits Newark, New Jersey Friday night, October 26, 7pm, at the Blue Mirror, 257 Clinton Avenue. Dr. M, aka Marvin X will perform with his longtime friends and associates from the Black Arts Movement, Amina and Amiri Baraka. When Amiri learned Dr. M was in town, he told the peripatetic poet to join him at the Blue Mirror and promote his latest book The Wisdom of Plato Negro. The Barakas will be accompanied by musicians Adegoke Steve Colson, piano, Calvin Jones, bass, Rudy Walker, drums, Rene McLean, reeds, Howard Wiley, saxophone, and Eugene "Goldie" Goldston, vocals.
