Dear Friends,
We are making plans for a Bay Area Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Black Arts Movement. We need your help in any way you can, especially if you are connected with an academic institution or community arts institution. Please let me know if you are interested in helping fund and/or plan this project that will take place sometime next year, depending on the funding. At this point, we are partnering with Eastside Arts Center and the Post News Group. We would like to include the Berkeley Black Repertory Group, Fulton Street Cultural Center, San Francisco, the Malonga Arts Center and Geoffery's Inner Circle, Joyce Gordan Gallery and other venues.
